In honor of my 52nd year of life

Hope always finds light to take flight in darkness.

Hope protects the mind, heart, soul, and spirit.

Hope rises under oppression. 

Hope countermoves with intuition.

Hope is peace in chaos and confusion.

Hope is not blinded by ambition.

Hope is not bound by unrealistic expectations.

Hope rests even in uncertainty, knowing the path is predestined.

Hope accepts reality as clarity. 

Hope seeks purpose and beauty from brokenness.

Hope is resilience in the face of mistreatment.

Hope will not be bullied or badgered by negativity.

Hope is not rattled by impure intentions, words, or actions.

Hope is fueled by challenges of worth and dignity.

Hope will not be demeaned or shamed.

Hope does not settle.

Hope refuses to allow insecurities to lessen its value.

Hope never pretends yet exists confidently in authenticity.

Hope believes anything is possible.

Hope forges ahead with enduring joy.
